We have been overwhelmed by the number of great applicants eager to open their homes and hearts to a kitty or two. With the high volume of applicants and limited staffing, we appreciate everyone’s patience as we try to keep up with the current demand for adoptions.

FERN & THISTLE

Female / Male, 2 years / 9 months

Fern and Thistle are a pair of bonded besties. Fern is a sweet, chatty little lady with the most unique mouse-like ears. She loves being close to her people, whether she’s curling up in your lap or following you from room to room. Her favourite pastime is chasing her fuzzy ball and announcing every dramatic pounce with an excited meow. With her affectionate nature, quirky charm and playful spirit, Fern is the purrfect little companion for someone who wants a loving shadow with a soft meow and lots of heart. Thistle is an energetic, playful kitty with a heart full of love, and he absolutely adores people. While he might be a little shy at first, he quickly opens up, especially when he realizes you’re ready to give him attention. Thistle thrives on human affection. He loves to be pet, cuddled, and doted on. And the moment you start giving him love, he turns on his loud, happy purr. He’ll gladly curl up on your lap, snuggle beside you in bed, or follow you around just to be close. Cuddling is his love language, and he never gets tired of it!

COTTON & MITTENS

Meet Cotton (short hair) and Mittens (long hair) are an adorable pair of bonded sisters. Mittens is very gentle, and she is the quieter one of the pair. Not much phases her. She loves her chin scratches and has a very laid back purrsonality. Cotton is friendly, with lots of purrs, and is the more outgoing one. However, she does not seem to enjoy other cats (except for her sister). She is the more playful and dominant one as well. When giving treats, Cotton will aggressively take them from Mittens, but since Mittens is a nice little lady, she doesn’t do much about it. They have an interesting dynamic but it works for the two of them!

SWEETY

Sweety truly lives up to her name — she is the sweetest and most playful little soul you could imagine. With her endless cuddles, constant gentle purrs, and joyful spirit, she brings warmth and happiness wherever she goes. She absolutely loves being around her humans. Whether you’re reading, working, or relaxing on the couch, Sweety will happily curl up beside you, purring contentedly. She has an endless desire to play and will delight you with her silly antics and curious nature — but she’s also wonderfully intuitive and knows when it’s time to settle down and give you a peaceful break. Sweety is super patient and incredibly gentle with kids, making her a wonderful family companion. Her calm, loving nature shines in every interaction. She is the perfect balance of affectionate companion and playful entertainer. She doesn’t just want a home — she wants her purrson to love and follow around. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with the softest heart and the sweetest purr, Sweety has been looking for you!

MCFLURRY & SUNDAE

McFlurry and Sundae are a sweet pair of bonded sisters. At first, McFlurry is cautious and a bit skittish but once she knows you she warms up and loves a chin scratch. She will let you pick her up and will happily sit in your arms gazing at her surroundings until you put her down. She’s happy to sit on your lap but also needs her space sometimes. She looks out for her sister - taking care of her by cleaning her face, keeping her safe, and is always on the look out by keeping watch. McFlurry is dainty and quite petite under all her fur. She’s a sweet, quiet girl and only makes the odd sound when locating her family. Sundae’s name suits her perfectly as she’s sweet as can be. A snuggler extraordinaire - Sundae will lie down and expose her tummy for a stroke at every opportunity - almost like a dog. When she’s awake she loves to play - any toy will do and she will race around like she’s had too much coffee. Her favourite is the laser toy and will often go searching for it long after you have had enough. Sundae loves to be the center of attention but equally loves to play tag and wrestle with her sister. When she’s had enough playing, you will find her on the sofa next to you but beware - if she sees you on your phone she’ll interrupt to compete for your attention! McFlurry and Sundae would love to go to a home where they will get lots of playtime and snuggles!

NOEL

Noel is a super sweet lady and is full of purrsonality. She may be 5 years old but don’t let that fool you, she still has the energy and playfulness of a kitten. Noel loves love, and is always happy to occupy a lap or be held. She can be a bit mischievous when it comes to food so it’s important to keep everything put away where she can’t get it, especially before you go to bed. Noel is a beautiful, loving, playful sweetheart who would make a perfect addition to any family!

SIREN

STATUS: APPLICATIONS OPEN

Siren is a curious and adventurous lady and would be a wonderful companion in any environment. She is a beautiful cat with a big purrsonality and usually has lots to say. She loves to flip and roll at your feet and have her belly rubbed. She is great company when relaxing and loves to sit or lie next to you on the bed or couch purring loudly. She also loves to play and regularly gets energetic zoomies. She is not aggressive and will never hiss or bite. She is just the bestest chonk ever! Siren and Dori were surrendered from the same home after their previous owner had to move. The girls would be happy to be adopted together or separately.

NIKI & PUMA

STATUS: APPLICATIONS OPEN

These two babies came into the rescue’s care as ferals and over the past few months have become cuddly and sweet with patient love and kindness. Puma (m) is easier to come out of his shell and loves being pet. He is full of purrs and cuddles. He also LOVES to play and rip around the house with his sister Niki. Niki is a little more shy and cautious, but she also loves being pet. The bonded brother-sister duo LOVE playing and ripping around with one another. These two play together, eat together, sleep together and relax with one another; they are two peas in a pod.

ASTRID

Astrid’s story is one of quiet courage and blossoming trust. She began her life in the wild, unsure of people and the strange, noisy things they do—but with time, patience, and kindness from her foster family, Astrid has discovered how wonderful human companionship can be. These days, Astrid’s favorite spot is right in her foster mom’s lap, where she naps contentedly and purrs softly while they work from home. Her gentle purrs and calm presence make even the busiest day feel a little more peaceful. She’s still a sensitive soul—new environments and faces can take her a bit of time to warm up to—but once Astrid realizes she’s safe and loved, she’ll reward your patience with unwavering affection and trust. Astrid would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace. She’s the purrfect match for someone who finds joy in quiet companionship and appreciates the beauty of watching a once-shy cat open her heart. Astrid has been raised with other cats and loves them all. She lived with a 7 year old child in her foster home whom she learned to trust with some quiet calm patience. Astrid joins her brothers Hiccup and Stoick here at Catfe!

CAIRO

This plush little cloud of a cat is as soft as she is particular. Cairo is the definition of elegance—she walks with poise, has the most kissable fur that somehow always smells good, and sports adorably oversized Grinch-feet paws that she carries with grace. Cairo is a quiet, independent soul who prefers her own space but will grace you with her presence on her terms. She's mostly silent unless you pick her up, in which case she'll reward you with the tiniest, sweetest meow. She doesn't love being held, but she'll tolerate it—especially if you drape her over one shoulder like the dignified lady she is. Her daily routine involves naptime, and then more naptime. She spends her days lounging on soft pillows, blankets, couches, and beds. When she needs a break from the world, she retreats to her little hideout to recharge from overstimulation. At nighttime, she'll sleep with (or near) you every single night—and yes, she will hold a grudge if you skip her bedtime routine. Loyalty is a two-way street with Cairo. Cairo isn't food-motivated, but during feeding time, she becomes an affectionate little hugger. It's her way of saying "thank you" before returning to her independent lifestyle. Cairo has a bit of a hairball issue, but with regular grooming, it's very manageable. She's a boundaries queen—she'll give you a warning nip if you overstep, but she never uses her claws. She values respect above all else and thrives with people who understand cat language. Cairo would do best in a calm, adult household without young children who might not understand her need for personal space. She's purrfect for someone who appreciates a low-key companion with an owl-like face, a heart full of selective affection, and an unmatched sense of self.

PEBBLES

Pebbles is a sweet, shy boy. He will sleep under the bed, wardrobe, anywhere unseen and cozy. Loves to play play play! If you shake a wand close to where he’s sleeping, he’ll come out. He doesn’t enjoy being held (just wiggles out, no aggression) but likes to meow and rub on you. Very curious but cautious. He loves wand toys, the sound of a can opening, and will stare at you. He bonds well through one-on-one interactions so let him sleep in your bedroom and make that space comfy for him! He was fostered with a dog and did not mind it. Pebbles and his brother Ping Pong were surrendered from the same home and would make a great pair for a calm home looking for two sweeties!

PING PONG

STATUS: ADOPTION PENDING - INTERVIEW SCHEDULED

Ping Pong is a cream-coloured British Shorthair. He is calm, curious, and confident. He loves to watch TV, loves to watch and play with his wand stick, and loves to climb high up so make sure to give him lots of vertical space. He is cuddly, super soft, and he just likes to be part of what you do so you will often find him tagging along as your shadow. He loves plushy ball toys, catnip balls, and anything that moves! He can be picky with wet food - chicken is his favourite protein, he not a fan of any fishy foods! His favourite is Weruva Cats in the Kitchen wet food. He was fostered with a dog and did not mind it. Ping Pong and his brother Pebbles were surrendered from the same home and would make a great pair for a calm home looking for two sweeties!

FARGO

Fargo is a sweet little girly pop! She’s affectionate, and her favourite hobbies are sitting in your lap, and playing with toys.

DORI

Adoption Fee:

Dori is a quiet and adorable little lady with lots of love to give. She is shy and cautious at first and will take a long time before starting to explore a new environment. One on one, she is very affectionate and will happily cuddle and enthusiastically nuzzle on your lap or chest. She gives lots of boops and kisses while she enjoys this cuddly time. Once she is comfortable, she enjoys being held and will purr gently in your arms. She is not at all aggressive and won’t bite or claw. She is a wonderful companion and would be best suited to a calm environment. She is just the cutest! Dori and Siren were surrendered from the same home after their previous owner had to move. The girls would be happy to be adopted together or separately.

DERWOOD

STATUS: ADOPTION PENDING - INTERVIEW COMPLETE

Derwood is a sweetheart with a gentle, affectionate soul. He loves cuddling and will happily follow you from room to room just to keep you company. A little timid at first, Derwood blossoms with patience and kindness and shows his true lazy-lounging, snuggle-loving nature. He really enjoys mealtime (even if he’s a bit picky!) and would thrive in a calm home where he can feel safe, loved, and adored.

ELAINE

STATUS: ADOPTION APPROVED - GOING HOME MAR 8

Female, 9 months

Adoption Fee: $385+PST

Elaine is a fun and lovable girl looking for her next adventure. She loved the other kitties at her foster home, so having another kitty friend in her furever home is a must. She loved playing with her siblings, spring toys, and pom poms. She is great with being picked up and loves a good snuggle. This girl is just a happy and sweet young lady, living life to the fullest every day!

ADOPTION APPLICATION PROCESS: All the cats at Catfe are available for adoption. Each cat has been vet-checked, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and treated for fleas. We are partnered with various rescues and shelters in BC to source our adoptable cats, and it is our goal to find responsible, loving homes for each and every one of them.

Each cat’s personality is unique. Due to the high volume of applicants and limited staffing, we are only able to process applications from visitors who have met the cat in person. If you fall in love during your visit and would like to apply to adopt a cat, the cat whisperer will provide you with an application form to fill out.

Please note: we are only able to contact the selected applicant for an interview. (It may take a week or so for us to get in touch — please check your junk mail.) If you are not contacted, you can check the cat’s status as it is updated on their profile during the process. Adoption approval is based on the best match for the cat’s needs, and not first-come-first-served.

ADOPTION PENDING: If it says “Adoption Pending” on a cat’s profile, it means we are currently conducting interviews with selected applicants. New applications will be placed on a back-up list for that cat and will only be considered if the adoption is not successful.
